Golden Globes: Spielberg o grande vencedor da noite. Acima de tudo, foi uma noite de estrelas. Como sempre, aliás. Com toda a certeza, a cerimónia, que é uma espécie de antevisão dos Oscars, regressou ao brilho e ao glamour de outros tempos. Por outro lado, este regresso ficou marcado pela distinção de um dos homens que melhor conta histórias, Steven Spielberg.

Inegavelmente, “The Fabelmans”, o filme semiautobiográfico do realizador de E.T., prepara-se para ser o grande galardoado do ano. Seja como for, desta vez, na primeira entrega de prémios da temporada, o realizador arrecadou duas estatuetas: a de Melhor Realizador e a de Melhor Filme. Inesperadamente, Spielberg fez um dos discursos de agradecimento mais emocionante da noite. Não só emocionou os presentes no e bem como hoje “faz correr tinta” na imprensa do mundo inteiro.
“Até agora, tudo o que fiz preparou-me para, finalemnte, ser honesto sobre o fato de que não é fácil ser-se criança. O mundo olha para mim como uma história de sucesso… contudo, ninguém sabe realmente quem somos até termos a coragem para contar a nossa história. Passei muito tempo a tentar descobrir quando poderia contar essa história e percebi-o quando fiz 74 anos. Eu disse para mim mesmo: ‘É melhor fazer isto agora’.
E estou muito, muito feliz por tê-lo feito.”
Ainda assim, a noite tem outros protagonistas. De fato, depois dos escândalos éticos e as controvérsias pela falta de diversidade, esta 80ª edição dos prémios da Associação de Imprensa Estrangeira de Hollywood marcou uma nova era para a cerimónia.
